191 House Of Reps Members Did Not Sponsor Any Bill In 4 Years [FULL LIST]

An official reportedly authorised to be made  public by former House of Representatives Speaker and current Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal has revealed that of its 360 members, 191 members of Nigeria’s House of Representatives did not sponsor any bill throughout their 4-year stay in the 7th Assembly from 2011 to 2015.

The report, which was titled “Status of Bills, Petitions and Other Legislative Measures” shows that of 755 the introduced to The House, only 123 of them were passed. This includes the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) which was hurriedly passed by 47 the Senators in the Upper Chambers failed to pass.

The official publication, put together by the Rules and Business Committee, chaired by Albert Sam-Tsokwa showed that former aspirant  for Speaker, Abdulmumin Jibron (Kano, APC) was one of the high profile lawmakers that failed to sponsor any bill. Another shock name on the report is the current Deputy Speaker of the House, Yusuf Lasun (Osun, APC).

The lawmaker sponsoring the highest bills were Ali Ahmad (APC, Kwara) who sponsored 36 bills, closely followed by Uzoma Nkem Abonta (PDP, Abia) with a total of 32. APC’s preferred choice for Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila (APC, Lagos) who sponsored 20 bills.

Newly inaugurated Speaker, Yakubu Dogara (Bauchi, APC) sponsored 7 bills,
