A few months to the 2015 general elections the embattled speaker of the Lagos state House of Assembly, Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji has declared his intention to pursue the nomination for the gubernatorial ticket on the platform of his political party the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Mr Ikuforoji stated his decision while addressing members of his staff over the weekend, he said he had spoken to God and he had given him an approval to contest. promising to build a state where people will be happy as he had succeed in creating a virile legislative house.
The speaker who is currently standing trial over alleged money laundering charges by EFCC said he has made wide consultation with stakeholders, opinion leaders and his colleagues in the Lagos State House of Assembly before making the move.
