A man was on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 arrested for raping a 3-month-old baby in Adogi Village in Nasarawa, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC has said.
NSCDC says his arrest came after thorough investigations were carried out.
“After a thorough intelligence gathering and investigation, the Nasarawa State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps arrested a man Tuesday accused of raping a three-month-old baby in Adogi Village of Nasarawa State” the security outfit tweeted.
The mother of the victim recounting the incident said her baby was kidnapped from their home in the dead of the night and brutally raped.
She slept with her windows open to allow fresh air into her apartment. She woke up at night to see that her baby had been taken from the bed. She alerted neighbours who joined her to search for her baby who was found lying in an uncompleted building with evidence of rape.
The 3-month-old baby was rushed to the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) where she received surgical treatment.
