Super Eagles striker and CSKA Moscow’s front man, Ahmed Musa has raised his game and hope of qualification to the round of 16 in the UEFA Champions league after his club side had a commendable outing against Manchester City in a game that ended 2-1 in favour of CSKA Moscow.
Bayern Munich tops the group with 12 points after beating Roma 2-0 on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 making CSKA to tie points with Roma.
Musa expresses confidence for a big win when they play the Italians in their next match.
“We will take it game by game, and we hope to win the next games in order to qualify. Roma and us have four points. We hope things will go well for us and that we will qualify,” Musa said.
He also commended his teammate, Seydou Doumbia after his two goals helped the Russian team to lead a 2-1 win over Manchester City at the Etihad.
Doumbia two goals secured the club’s first away win for a Russian side in England in the Champions League since Spartak Moscow defeated Blackburn Rovers in September 1995.
“Doumbia is very good. He had a great game and he gave us the win so I am very happy about that,” Musa said.
