Aisha Buhari, Nigeria’s First Lady, who has taken up the official title “wife of the president” has appointed Hajo Sani as the Senior Special Assistant (Administration) to the office of the wife of the president.

This is in spite of pre-election promises by President Muhammadu Buhari that there would be no office for the first lady since it is not in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Her appointment was made public by members of her graduating set (1978) in our Alma Mater, University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), whose congratulatory message was published in National Daily, Daily Trust on Friday, August 14, 2015.
