APC’s Political Dictators Are Behind Saraki’s Trials – Group

Must read

A civil Society organization, Youth Stand Up for Nigeria (YSN), has alleged that political dictators in the All Progress Congress (APC) are behind the Senate president’s current travail, warning against his removal.

The group said that the true test of the party’s ability to manage the gains of their electoral successes would be tested in the case of Senator Saraki.

The National President, Comrade Bulus Matias further warned that the unlawful removal of the senate president could plug the red chamber in crisis that would drag the nation backward.

Addressing a press briefing at the weekend in Abuja, Matias said the whole problem was triggered by the interest of some party leaders, who are already working to position themselves for 2019 presidential election.

He wondered how Saraki who was welcome into the party with fun fairs in Ilorin had suddenly became a thief because he refused to yield to the decision of some leaders in the party, urging Nigerians to lift the veil of political witch-hunt and address real issues of premediated selective agenda to suit some leaders.

He said: “We urged all stakeholders whom are being looked up to as model to set aside emotive appeals, influences of groups in order to stand up for the truth, and view our dear nation above any selfish groups or persons, so as to bring the real change that the people voted for. The fight against Saraki is all about the senate presidency and not because of our dear nation.

“Since fats are sacred and balance of information are the premise upon which a societal growth can be anchored, for all individuals of the Nigerian society, who by extension are product of the same larger society, the only legacy which the same society can present to upcoming generation by ensuring that he who comes to equity must come with clean hands, hence the condemnation in its entirety the judicial harassment of the senate president, with the brute use of state powers at its peak is unwarranted,” he said.

According to him, Nigerians are aware that Saraki emerged the Senate president against the wishes of some APC emperors who felt they own Nigeria and can continue to enrich themselves from the collective Nigeria wealth.
