Must read

UMUAHIA, Nigeria – A harrowing incident has unfolded in Abia State as Archbishop Uka Uka Osim, along with his wife, Anne Osim, and son, Roland Uka Osim, were abducted along with three other clergymen of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star.

The abduction occurred on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, as the group was travelling to Awka, the capital of Anambra State, for evangelical duties.

Armed men intercepted their journey, plunging them into a nightmare of uncertainty and fear.

Joining Archbishop Osim in captivity are Azuka Ochu, Moses Okafor, and Anderson Akwazie, all members of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star.

Bishop Denis Onuoha, the administrator of the spiritual organization in Abia State, confirmed the abduction, revealing that four days have passed since the incident without any communication from the abductors.

“We are very worried, but we are assured that the Almighty Father, whom they worship and work for with total devotion, will help them out,” Bishop Onuoha stated.

Despite the anxiety, members of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star remain steadfast in their faith, offering prayers for the safe return of the abducted clergymen.

While the spiritual community rallies in prayer, calls intensify for swift action from security agencies to rescue the Archbishop and his companions from their captors.

However, as of now, police authorities in both Anambra and Abia States have yet to issue a formal response to the distressing incident.

As the nation waits anxiously for updates on the situation, hopes and prayers are fervently directed towards the safe return of Archbishop Osim, his family, and their fellow clergymen.
