It’s False!: No 25,000 Pastors Agreed To Pray For Buhari – Cleric Warns APC To Stop Desperate Campaigns

Must read

Archbishop Mustapha Benjamin, of  Resurrection Praise Ministries, Lagos State, has warned the All Progressives Congress (APC) to desist from using pastors to campaign for their presidential candidate in the peak of their desperation for power.

During a press brief with a group of media personnel in Lagos in reaction to a report that 25,000 pastors had agreed to pray for the APC presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(Rtd), at Teslim Balogun Stadium last Tuesday in Lagos.

He said “Nothing could be misleading than such information because nothing like that happened.”

According to Daily Post, Benjamin, who said politicians should stop making mockery of Christian religion, advised “APC leaders to stop dragging the names of clergymen into their propaganda”.

“I was disturbed when APC held a press conference announcing that 25,000 clergymen would gather on Tuesday to pray for Buhari, because, I don’t think we have up to 25,000 pastors in Lagos.

“So, we wonder how APC plans to gather that number of pastors, except a congregation of prayer warriors.”
