Drama As Biyi Poroye Flees From Court Over Fears Of Being Jailed #OndoPDPAppealUpdate

Must read

There was drama at the Appeal Court sitting in Abuja on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 when the self-acclaimed Ondo PDP chairman, Biyi Poroye who appeared at the court with Jimoh Ibrahim vanished into the thin air as the court was about to begin hearing of the appeal on the Ondo State PDP Governorship candidate.

Poroye’s action is not unconnected from the unfounded petition he wrote against the Appeal Court Judges on Monday, accusing them of receiving bribe from the Ondo State Governor.

The Appeal Court Judges, who were visibly infuriated about the petition, blew hot over the petition written by Poroye, challenging his counsel if he was aware of the petition written by his client.

The Judges insisted the issue must be sorted out before matter progresses as the petition contains myriads of baseless allegations against their personality.

Biyi Poroye who was earlier in court was however nowhere to be found alongside Jimoh Ibrahim

Biyi Poroye’s Lawyer, Alex Iziyon however disowned his client over the baseless petition written against the Appeal Court judges, saying he was not aware of the petition.

Iziyon said “my lord, Poroye is like the proverbial Judas Iscariot for writing that petition”

The Appeal Court Judges told Alex Iziyon “we are shocked that your client, Biyi Poroye could engage in this malicious act that can obstruct Justice”

While appealing to the Judges, Olanipekun (SAN) said, “My lords, don’t be distracted by the petition but remain committed to Justice”
