Former governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala has died at 72.
He passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, January 12, 2022, in Igbomoso.
Akala served as governor of the state between 2007 and 2011 under the Action Democratic Party, ADP.
He was also a deputy governor under former governor, Rashidi Ladoja between 2003 and 2006, when Chief Ladoja was impeached and consequently became the acting governor for eleven months.
