It was victory for Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu as the Court of Appeal sitting in Owerri, Imo State capital, struck out a petition filed against him by Mr Alex Otti, of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) challenging his election.
Otti, who lost the April 2015 governorship election to Ikpeazu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) had filed an appeal for an extension of time to call up additional witnesses to testify against Ikpeazu.
However, the court finally struck out the appeal in the early hours of Monday, October 12, 2015 after series of hearing.
