The main opposition party in Nigeria, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has appointed leaders in the party’s presidential campaign for 2019.
Senate President Bukola Saraki has been appointed the director general of the campaigns while governors, some of whom were former presidential contenders, have been appointed to head the zonal operations of the campaign .
“The list includes: Senate President Bukola Saraki as Director-General, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal as Zonal Coordinator for North west, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, Zonal Coordinator for North East, Samuel Ortorm, Zonal Coordinator for North Central, Nyesom Wike As Zonal Coordonator for South-South, Ayodele Fayose as Zonal Coordinator for South West, Engr. Dave Umahi as Zonal Coordinator For South East.
“Others includes: Kabiru Tanimu Turaki as Chairman Legal Matters and Emmanuel Udom as Chairman Fund Raising Committee,” the statement signed by the national spokesperson of the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan read.
Mr. Ologbondiyan also disclosed that more appointments will be communicated as they are made.
