Bristow Helicopter Crash: 11 Survivors In Lagos Ocean, Evacuation Underway – LASEMA

Helicopter belonging to  Bristol Helicopter with Reg. NO. N5BQJ with 11 souls on board crashed at radai136, 70 nautical miles en route Lagos from Port Harcourt today 3rd February 2016.

All emergency responders were immediately activated, these includes 3 RRS  Search and rescue Helicopters, Nigeria Navy, Airforce and others were deployed for the operation.

The helicopter ditched inside the ocean, however 11 souls on board are alive, no casualty.

The support of Agip, Mobile and Shell oil company in the provision of speed boat, while Bristol Helicopter company also provided landing boat for the evacuation of the survivals.

The survivals is in adherence to the use of life jacket.

The success of this is attributed to will of God and the recently conducted emergency preparedness simulation of air crash by NEMA,  LASEMA and other stakeholders, further investigation on the crash will be looked into by the relevant authorities.
