A 58-year old Nigerian-American witch doctor, Christopher Omigie has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for collecting hundreds of thousands of dollars from cocaine traffickers who hoped to get supernatural protection from the authorities.Omigie, who stays in Lafeyette, Loiusiana was convicted on charges of conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
He was said to have provided the traffickers with card readings, massages with magic ointments, razor blade cuttings and various magic powders, belts, coconuts and rocks to keep law enforcement away.
Reports say he also told them not to bathe or have sex for a period of time following his magic treatments to “not diminish the potency” of his work.
His schemes did not work as his main clients have been apprehended and have pleaded guilty to drug related charged.
