Chris Brown is going back to rehab.

At a hearing on Friday, Los Angeles judge ordered the singer to spend another two months in the Malibu rehabilitation center where he has been grappling with anger management and drug abuse problems.

Brown, 24, entered the program in November after an incident in which he threw a rock through his mother’s car window.

While in rehab, a court on Friday heard, Brown has been a model patient. He has attended six to eight therapy sessions a week and passed drug tests without incident.

Documents from the rehab center revealed that Brown’s problems may stem from a diagnosis of mental illness. The singer suffers from bipolar II disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and severe insomnia.

“Our clinical team believes Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and PTSD,” a letter from the rehab center submitted to the court read.

Brown will remain in the program until late April. He must also fulfill the 750 remaining hours of community service, a condition of his probation for his assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna. To comply with the requirement, Brown has been reporting to a highway clean-up crew three days a week.

Brown will remain in rehab until his trial in Washington, D.C., for the alleged assault of a 20-year-old art student is concluded. The Los Angeles court will then determine whether he should be imprisoned for probation violations.

After he was order back into rehab, Brown took to Twitter to express his disappointment: “Never really goes the way u plan. #LIFE”
