The senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District, Ben Murray-Bruce has waded in on the current fuel scarcity crippling commercial activities across the country.
Speaking via his twitter account, the #CommonSense advocate said that the country could increase its crude oil production by 20% if it can legalise and find a means of registering the numerous illegal refineries that adorn several parts of the country.
It is common news that any such refineries uncovered by security agents are usually destroyed.

1-We have excruciating #fuelscarcity yet we are destroying illegal refineries producing what we lack. Where's the #Commonsense in that?

2-Is it not better to legalize and register the refineries to bring them up to standard rather than depend on imports? #fuelscarcity.

3-If we legalize and register illegal refineries, we may immediately increase our refining capacity by 20% #fuelscarcity
