Former beauty queen, Dabota Lawson has filled for divorce from her husband, Prince Sunny Aku after one year of marriage.
The billionaire businessman and Lawson tied the knot in December 2014 in a lavish ceremony in Lagos.
Citing the reason for filling the divorce, Lawson says Aku is still legally married to another woman and she was unaware of this at the time she married him.
The estranged couple separated late last year and have been living apart ever since.
Lawson also complains that she was being caged in the marriage. According to her, it was so bad that she was not allowed to go out.
According to a source close to the couple, Price Aku told friends that Lawson married him for his money to start her makeup business. Friends of Lawson have however dismissed the claim stating that she was truly in love with Prince Aku.
