Does this make sense? Little Girl Dancers Twerking At A Christmas Parade (VIDEO)

Must read

Is this what the world has come to?  Someone please help us understand why this makes sense.  Some little girls in Grand Coteau, Louisiana presented a celebration of Christmas by dancing and twerking to the song “Crazy Bout my Boifriend,” by Sissy Nobby.  Yes, they are twerking to celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ.  We hope these aren’t your kids.

Most of us don’t want our daughters shaking it for anybody, especially when they are too young to have anything to shake.  But then there are some who compare twerking to various African dances, saying that it’s all OK.

Here is a bit of what Wikipedia says about the history of twerking:

Comparisons have been made with traditional African dances,[4] for instance the Mapouka from West Africa which was banned from Ivory Coast‘s television due to its suggestive nature.[5]Twerking can carry both gendered and racialized connotations.[6] In the United States, twerking was introduced into hip-hop culture by way of the New Orleans bounce music scene. In 1993, DJ Jubilee recorded the dance tune “Do The Jubilee All” in which he chanted, “Twerk baby, twerk baby, twerk, twerk, twerk.”[7]

Since shaking it that hard is done to arouse grown men and make them want to have sexx, is it a contradiction to have little girls shaking their butts to turn on the men who are watching?  Maybe that doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Is this a moment of black pride or black shame?  Some of our kids never learn to read before they finish high school, but they are twerking by kindergarten.  We can do better than that.

Please tell us. The video is above:
