Whoopi Goldberg took Donald Trump to task on Monday for unfounded tweets he posted about the Ebola virus.
Trump, who Whoopi referenced as a “friend”, posted several tweets last week announcing his opposition to Ebola victims being being treated in the U.S.
Whoopi called those tweets “idiotic” and “stupid” and wished that Trump would’ve done some research before going on Twitter.
“The U.S. cannot allow EBOLA infected people back,” Trump tweeted. “People that go to far away places to help out are great-but must suffer the consequences!”
He continued: “The U.S. must immediately stop all flights from EBOLA infected countries or the plague will start and spread inside our ‘borders.’ Act fast.”

Stop the EBOLA patients from entering the U.S. Treat them, at the highest level, over there. THE UNITED STATES HAS ENOUGH PROBLEMS!

Ebola patient will be brought to the U.S. in a few days – now I know for sure that our leaders are incompetent. KEEP THEM OUT OF HERE!

Doctors have already died treating Ebola http://t.co/L9DLh09oib We should not be importing the disease to our homeland.

Our government now imports illegal immigrants and deadly diseases. Our leaders are inept.

So many people are agreeing with me on not creating a "highway" for Ebola to the U.S. Started in small area of Africa and now spreading fast
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 5, 2014
The bigger problem with Ebola is all of the people coming into the U.S. from West Africa who may be infected with the disease. STOP FLIGHTS!

A doctor on NBC Nightly News agreed with me-we should not bring Ebola into our country through two patients, but should bring docs to them.

Whoopi says he should’ve investigated before taking sides on the issue.
“Do your homework, Donald. Just do your homework. … Before you say something that dumb– you know better than that. Come on,” she said.
The problem is that Trump, a birther, has never been one to do his homework. He’d much rather just make outrageous comments as a way of garnering media attention.
Trump was a member of the right wing fringe that accused President Obama of lying about his citizenship and in May of this year, Trump said he wasn’t ashamed of his birtherism.
“I don’t think it was a distraction. A lot of people love me for it. I got him to produce his so-called birth certificate, or whatever it was,” Trump said.
Trump also wants to see Obama’s college grades.
“Look, I offered him five million dollars, as you remember, and then in the last moments I even increased it to 50 million. I didn’t want see his marks. I just wanted to see his records,” Trump added during the May speech. “And he would have been doing a great thing because that money would have gone to charity, it could have gone to Chicago youth, it could have gone to any charity that he picked. That was up to fifty million dollars to share some records from college and he chose not to do it.”
