For sometime now, the rumor mills have had it that YBNL singer, Adekunle Gold and X3M music artiste, Simi are lovebirds. The talented singers have done nothing to assuage the rumors but have rather helped fuel it by their silence on the issue.
It is a fact that Simi and Adekunle Gold are friends but the extent of their friendship can’t be defined yet. Their photos together also suggest more than casual friendship.
In a recent interview with HipTV, Adekunle Gold refused to speak on the rumor for now. In another interview with NETNG, he stylishly refused to answer the question but revealed Simi has been of immense help to his career.
According to him, she helped him in arranging his new single, ‘Orente’. Here’s what he said:
‘Simi really helped me with my sound because I was doing something different before. I was doing strictly pop and forming R&B and Simi having heard me sing a number of times insisted that she thinks I have this particular sound. She just said to me, you are very heavy on Yoruba, why are you hiding from it.’
‘She actually named my genre Urban Highlife and then of course Simi arranged and mixed Orente and a couple of songs I will be bringing out soon.’
