Must read

Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima on Saturday, June 27, 2015 said that the federal government has taken over the funding of the camp of Internally Displaced person (IDP).

He said: “Since Buhari took over affairs at the Presidency he has been working silently.

“Part of the work is that the Federal Government has now taken over most responsibilities in funding activities in the 22 IDP camps in Maiduguri.

“The state government fully shouldered the responsibilities under former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

“Since 2013 when we established IDP camps in Biu for the displaced people of Damboa, up till few days ago, the state government was solely bearing the burden of funding the camps.”

The governor further stated that the state government would now concentrate on repairing the areas destroyed by boko haram since the federal government has shouldered the responsibility of funding the camp.
