Former Baylor college basketball star Brittney Griner is accustomed to success, and her life took another big step forward as she and girlfriend Glory Johnson got engaged on Thursday.
Griner, a two-time WNBA All-Star for the Phoenix Mercury, former NCAA champion and the 2012 AP Division I Player of the Year (among countless other accolades), posted the above photo to Instagram on Friday, along with the message:
Last Night was a Night to Remember[,] I became the happiest person on this earth! (almost pass out but when that one word came out I came back to life) Me and my baby @missvol25 are in it for Life!
Griner‘s fiancee, Glory Johnson, was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2012 at Tennessee before being picked No. 4 overall in the 2012 WNBA draft by the Tulsa Shock.
Johnson also shared the news through her own Instagram by posting a photo with the caption, “What I get to wake up to @brittneygriner #LoveMakesYouDoTheCraziestThings.”
