Buhari Government Votes N800 Million To Fund Islamic Centres Across Nigeria

Must read

The Federal Government said it has appropriated over N600 million in the 2018 budget for execution of capital projects at the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies, NBAIS, just as it has committed N200 million to rehabilitation of the board’s buildings ceded to it by the government.

Speaking during the commissioning of the national headquarters of the board in Kaduna on Saturday, May 12, 2018, Adamu Adamu, the Minister of Education, said efforts are in top gear to capture staff of the board into the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System, IPPIS, which will cost the government over two billion naira annually.

NBAIS is the regulatory and examination body for Arabic and Islamic Secondary Schools and centres in the country. The Board, established 1960 as a basic and Islamic Studies Unit under the defunct Northern Nigeria Ministry of Education, became a paras data of the Federal Ministry of Education in 2017.”

OUR TAKE on this matter!*

Now what we need to ask ourselves is since when did we as Nigerians, with the number of non Muslims (majority) we have in this country, and with all the tax payers money, agree to fund an Islamic projects to the point where it is now a recognized government unit, with a salary scheme from the federal government allocation!
Do we have “the other side of the coin” (if we may be permitted to use this term) for *other faiths* in the country, especially the *CHRISTIANS* whose numbers transcends other faith and are not in anyway a minority?!?

Is there a balance in our government and government policies? Can we truly say that we can trust this government, and the concept of FG being unbiased?

Nigerians WAKE UP!

Keep sentiments aside, be forthright and truthful to yourself while asking yourself *IS THIS RIGHT* ?
The concept of “one nation”, is it something we should believe (though it may not look as thus)?

*YES!* We know all that is going on, BUT we can upturn, change, and reposition this whole mess! But you must talk, *YOUR MUST SPEAKUP and SPEAKOUT* ! SAY something, but not anything! It’s not just talking and making empty noise, but speaking constructively and persuasively.
