Former Inspector General Of Police Faces Interrogation Over N275m Fraud

Former Inspector General of police Mr. Mike Okiro on Thursday 4th June 2015 faced interrogation from the Independent and Corrupt Practice and other related offenses Commission over an alleged N275m fraud.

According to reports from The Punch, it was gathered that the Ex-Inspector General of Police arrived the commissions head-quarters at about 9:51 am in company of three officers of the police service commission. and went straight to the investigations department.

Mike Okiro’s interrogation followed a petition by a member of staff Aaron Kaase to ICPC stating that Mr. Mike Okiro obtained funds from the office of the National Security adviser for training of staffs of the Police Service Commission.

Men of the Police Service Commission who participated in the last general elections were scheduled to participate in training.

He also alleged that Okiro and others claimed some millions of naira for separate overseas trainings, which they never attended.
