About 43 Chadian children kidnapped and trained by Boko Haram insurgents have been repatriated.
Making the development known was the Spokesman for the Chadian army , Azem Agouna, who availed that the children were found were found in Damasak, Borno state, which was held by Boko Haram forces until March 2015.
Agouna also revealed that the children managed to escape while the insurgents were engaging troops in battle, and hid with local families and did not come out of hiding until it was certain that the terrorists would not return.
He also stated that the Chadian authorities had commenced investigations as to how and when the children were kidnapped.
