Nigeria’s Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina has been awarded a honourary Doctor of Agriculture degree at the prestigious Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana USA.
Adesina was honored along with William Dudley Jr, the President and CEO of the Bechtel Group who was awarded a Doctor of Engineering degree.
Both men are alumni of the university.
While presenting the award to Adesina, President of the institution, Mitchell Daniels hailed the minister for his sterling performances as a minister.
