Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko on Saturday, March 12, 2016 inaugurated the first University of Medical Sciences in Nigeria.
The university is based in Ondo Town and is the first of its kind in West Africa and 3rd in Africa. It is located near the world famous and WHO award winning Medical Village in Ondo.
The event which also served as the first matriculation ceremony in the school had over 200 freshman year students take their oath.
