As the power situation in Nigeria worsens, businesses have begun to reduce operational costs by cutting back on business hours.
Radio stations have announced a reduction in transmission hours citing power outages and the high cost of diesel as the reason.
Some radio stations in the country have announced that they are cutting down on their hours of operation.
Hot FM Abuja in a statement said “Due to the diesel scarcity and poor power supply we would like to notify all Hot FM Abuja listeners and partners that the station will be adjusting transmission times until the current situation improves.”
“Transmission will now commence daily from 5.00 am until 9:30 pm,” they added.
Women Radio announced; “Due to high cost of diesel… we will operate from 6:30 am to 8:00 pm Mondays to Sundays.”
