Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State has been elected as the Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Governors Forum in the elections held Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in Maitama, Abuja.
Governor Mimiko was deputy to the immediate past chairman of the forum, Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State.
It was earlier reported that nine out of the 13 PDP governors agreed to elect Governor Mimiko as their new chairman.
He also said that an earlier meeting which was scheduled for last week had to be cancelled due to the fact the governors were in negotiations as regards the elections of the National Assembly (NASS), new leadership.
