Anambra governor, Willie Obiano has defeated Chris Ngige and Tony Nwoye at the supreme court after the pair appealed a ruling by the court of appeal which upheld as legitimate the election of governor Obiano in the 2013 governorship election in the state.
Seven judges of the court sat in the matter and ruled unanimously in favour of Obiano dismissing the cases brought by Nwoye and Ngige.
Ngige had contested for the election under the All Progressives Congress (APC) while Nwoye had sought victory under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
