Boko Haram terrorists on Friday, September 25 attacked the convoy of Governor Babagana Zulum along the Baba Highway in Borno state killing at least 13.
The governor was on his was to Baga to prepare for the return of internally displaced persons, IDPs, from Maiduguri to the camps in Bagawhen his convoy was ambushed by the Islamist terrorists.
Seven policemen, three soldiers, and four Civilian Joint Task Force operatives were killed as the world’s deadliest terrorist group attacked the governors convoy for the second time.
IDPs were also wounded in the attack as the car converying them back to their camps were also hit with bullets.
The attack comes barely two months after Governor Zulum was attacked by the terrorists around the same area on his way from Baga.
