Developing reports have it that violence has broken out at the national headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.

According to reports, the violence is connected to the controversy surrounding the Kogi State gubernatorial election.

Earlier on Monday, November 30, 2015, it was announced that the running mate to Abubakar Audu, the deceased candidate of the party in the election, James Faleke had picked Mohammed Audu, son of the deceased as his running mate for the Saturday, December 5, 2015 election rerun.

Television Continental (TVC) had reported that the APC leadership had been in a meeting with Faleke abd Mohammed Audu before the outbreak of violence.

Confirming the development, a resident who lives close to the secretariat, Ebele Chukwu Mogbo had taken to her Facebook account.

Some vehicles were vandalised, some people were wounded, the army or sss came and restored order…i hear the melee concerned the kogi state election crises..I nearly thought it concerned Bokoharam. Nawa for Nigeria.
