A husband has threatened to divorce his wife after she was gang raped by four men in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos.
The husband, name withheld to protect identity of rape victim, described what befell his wife and mother of his three children as an abomination, according to reports.
The victim recounts her ordeal at that hands of four thugs who deceived her into believing they wanted to buy fish from her.
A fish-seller who is based in Obalende says that she was stopped by four young men at Ikate Road as she was returning from her place of business. The told her they would buy her fish worth N4,000.
“Since I know the place quite well, I followed them. I entered their bus,” she says.
“The man driving suddenly drove past the agreed place, driving into an unfamiliar bush path.
“I started shouting, asking where they were taking me, but they ignored me. When the man driving stopped, they dragged me out. Three other men came out from nowhere. While four of them raped me, others held my head, hands and legs,” the victim recounts.
A medical report dated September, 13, 2014, from the Lagos State Government Health Centre, CMS, Lagos, with reference number: 184921 and signed by Dr. Doyin Ramos A.M, confirmed that the victim was raped was raped.
But, it looks like this young woman is about to become a double-victim as it is reported that in her husband’s culture, a man must not continue to remain married to a woman who has been raped.
Confirming the rape of his wife, the husband vowed that no ritual or appeasement would make him change his mind.
