Edgal Imohimi, the Lagos Commissioner of Police, has ordered the arrest of four policemen, who allegedly fired some shots at Airport tollgate, hitting one Tunde Adeparusi, which left him injured.

In a statement issued by CSP Chike Oti, the command’s spokesperson, on Thursday, July 26, 2018,” the incident happened at the tollgate end of the airport on July 20, 2018.”

The statement added that on receiving the news of the incident, the Lagos CP ordered the Command X-Squad section to fish out the policemen involved.

Their investigations led to the arrest of the policemen: Inspector Christian Offor, Inspector Kingsley Umeji, Sergeant David Eguavoen, and Sergeant Paul Ebo.

It was revealed that the policemen are under investigation at X-Squad section and if the allegation against them is established, they will be marched before the Command’s Provost for their orderly room trials.

The CP reiterated that belligerent policemen and their likes who have refused to key into the professional ethos of the Force have no room in this era of democratic policing.

He went on to enjoin policemen to be professional in the discharge of their duties.
