Mariah Carey wore a very revealing black gown at the BET Honors at Warner Theatre in downtown Washington DC on Saturday evening February 8th 2014.
The 43-year-old posed on a piano to sing at the event, which fetes African Americans performing at top levels in music, literature, entertainment, and education.
The show was hosted by actor and comedian Wayne Brady. Those who received tributes were Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin, Motown founder Berry Gordy, rapper-actor Ice Cube, American Express chairman-CEO Ken Chenault and photographer and video artist Carrie Mae Weems.
Others who performed at the show included Jennifer Hudson, Janelle Monae, Tamar Braxton and Smokey Robinson .
It was a performance that got everyone talking, but definitely not about her high notes.
We have no idea how Carey managed to avoid a wardrobe malfunction of epic proportions, despite looking like they were making a bid for freedom, her assets managed to stay in place.
