DENVER, United States — Marilyn Hickey, a prominent American evangelist, Bible teacher and televangelist whose ministry spanned more than six decades, died on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the age of 94.
Her death was announced by The King’s Daughters in a statement shared on social media.
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Dr. Marilyn Hickey on Saturday, April 25, 2026,” the statement read.
“A faithful servant of God, Marilyn dedicated her life to covering the earth with God’s Word.”
Global Ministry and Influence
Hickey founded Marilyn Hickey Ministries and travelled extensively, preaching in more than 100 countries.
She also co-hosted the television programme “Today with Marilyn and Sarah” with her daughter, Sarah Bowling, focusing on Bible teaching and healing.
Her ministry reached audiences across nearly 200 countries through television broadcasts and other media platforms.
Hickey authored more than 175 books and publications and received an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Oral Roberts University.
Career and Personal Life
Born on July 1, 1931, Hickey began her ministry work after becoming a Christian as a teenager.
She married Pastor Wallace Hickey in 1954, and together they founded what is now known as Encounter Church in Colorado.
Her work included large-scale gatherings, including a meeting in Pakistan in 2016 that drew more than one million attendees.
Tributes and Legacy
Benny Hinn, a long-time associate, described Hickey as “an anointed leader of unwavering faith, remarkable vision, and global influence whose ministry helped shape generations.”
He said her work had reached millions through television and international ministry efforts.
Hickey is survived by her family, including her daughter, who continues the ministry.
Her death prompted tributes from religious organisations and followers, who highlighted her global outreach and long-standing role in Christian ministry.
