Mob Strips 2 Women Naked For Stealing N100,000 In Abuja Market

Two women were on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 stripped totally naked by a raging mob for allegedly stealing N100,000 from a wine shop at Dutsen Alhaji market, Bwari Area Council in Abuja.

According to Daily Post, the women who pretended to be buying some items entered into the shop at the market and while one of the women approached the shop owner and negotiating the price of a bottle of wine, her accomplice dipped her hand into the drawer and removed N100,000.

A source who witnessed the incident said: “She was about to walk away with the money when the shop owner who had seen her raised the alarm which attracted other traders”.

Out of anger, traders descended on the women and removed their clothes to shame them for the act.

The duo would have been lynched by the angry mob, but for the timely intervention of the police who then whisked them away from the market.

The suspects have been arrested and charged to court according to Divisional Police Officer, SP Hajiya Aisha Yusuf .
