Must read

ABUJA, Nigeria – The Nigeria Police Force, NPF, on Sunday, July 9, 2023, cautioned the public against a false recruitment advertisement circulating on social media platforms, stating that the notice is fraudulent.

Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, communicated this warning in a statement released in Abuja.

The statement served to emphasize the NPF’s stand that it has not commenced the 2022/23 Police Constables recruitment process, contrary to what the false publication claims.

Adejobi stated, “The advert has no connection with the Nigeria Police Force nor is it in tandem with the Police established recruitment process, and should be discountenanced in its entirety.”

He assured Nigerians that the official launch of the 2022/23 recruitment exercise will be announced through verified and official channels.

These include the police e-recruitment website, https://policerecruitment.gov.ng, the Nigeria Police Force official website, https://www.npf.gov.ng, national daily advertisements, and the official police social media accounts.

The statement further urged the public to solely rely on these verified sources and platforms and to exercise caution and vigilance to avoid falling victim to fraudulent recruitment schemes.

The Acting Inspector General of Police has further restated the commitment of the present police leadership to a standardized recruitment process with the aim of onboarding more competent and suitable recruits into the Nigerian policing system.

The police reaffirmed their dedication to maintaining the integrity of the recruitment process and ensuring the safety and well-being of the public.
