Must read

Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose has stated that he bears no grudge against the former the former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

Speaking on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the periodic Radio and Television Programme, Meet Your Governor, Fayose reiterated that the misconceived disagreement that occurred between him and the former president was rather a challenge for him to put the party, PDP in order.

He stated that it would be a political misunderstanding for anyone to perceive his recent outburst against Obasanjo as an attempt to peel old wounds.

Fayose urged members of the PDP to see the attack by Gen Obasanjo against President Goodluck Jonathan and the party, as something that must be addressed as a party and not as individuals.

“This is not a question of whether somebody is elderly or young, but when you see somebody continuously attacking the vehicle conveying members of the PDP, then that person must be checked or else the vehicle could sink. The PDP is like a moving train and when you see somebody shooting sporadically at it, those inside must talk or raise alarm if they must survive the onslaught.”

He also condemned the alleged romance of the former president with the All Progressive Congress, APC stressing that Obasanjo feels more at home the opposition party.

Speaking on the 2015 general elections, Fayose maintained that the chances of President Goodluck Jonathan to return for second term are higher than that of the opposition APC.

He believes that Nigerians would not make the mistake of voting APC into power at the center, following the bad records which has characterized the state where APC is governing.
