Alexander Mukhtar Dan’Iyan, the editor-in-chief of the 15Past8 Media Group based in New York City who goes by the @MrAyeDee on Twitter is no stranger to controversies and today, June 9, 2015, he has taken on the violent gang of Buhari supporters on Twitter.
Dan’Iyan was made famous by his face-off with popular blogger Linda Ikeji in 2014. He became even more popular when he decided to take an unpopular stance on Twitter by endorsing President Goodluck Jonathan over General Muhammed Buhari during the 2015 election period. He had worked for Buhari in 2011.
Dan’Iyan exposed the fraudulent communications put out by the Buhari campaign concerning then candidate Buhari’s medical trip to London in the middle of the presidential campaigns and the phoney claims to have met with former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair whereas, Blair’s office said he was in Serbia at the time.
Since taking that stance, Dan’Iyan has become the target of the violent and angry Twitter bloc that supports President Buhari and the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Today, he decided to speak directly to them in his now-famous numbered tweets. He was specifically addressing the former Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Tinubu loyalists. He began thus:
All those who don't understand politics is a long game and backed everyone Tinubu supported while abusing the rest of us, good luck..
— Mr. Aye Dee (@MrAyeDee) June 9, 2015
He followed up with 24 tweets that essentially told the APC Twitter thugs that their prospects of breaking-through in politics are bleak.
Dear ACN wing of APC's Social media squad. Let me be the first to offer my condolences.
You see, fact is, Politics is a long game, (1/24)— Mr. Aye Dee (@MrAyeDee) June 9, 2015

Why is this a problem?
