Must read

Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai has condemned the gang fight that claimed a life in Ungwan in Kaduna North Local Government Area on Monday, June 22, 2015.

The incident saw many people fleeing to safety even as vehicles and other property were set ablaze by the irate gang. The governor directed that all culprits involved should immediately be arrested by the Kaduna State police command and made to face wrath of the law.

This directive by the governor was revealed by his special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Samuel Aruwan on Tuesday, June 23, 2014.

According to Aruwan, who quoted Governor el-Rufai, said “The incident is condemnable and a threat to peace. We will not condone such act and we will explore all legal means at our disposal to punish all those involved without fear or favour.

“I have directed the Police to work hand-in-hand with the Ministry of Justice and bring to book all the culprits involved in this lawlessness and violence that took place.

“Any one found will not be spared, no matter how highly placed and powerful they are in the state or beyond. It is a demonstration of our resolution against harassing and intimidating the innocent with impunity throughout the length and breadth of Kaduna State.”
