A self-proclaimed pastor is currently in a deep mess following allegations that he impregnated about 17 single ladies and two married women in his church.
The cleric identified only as Pastor Dukes has a church known as The Light Of God Ministries in Umunede area of, Delta State.
Some church members disclosed that the pastor often had sex with the women under the guise that he wanted to connect them with suitors, Punch reports.
One member who identified herself as Josephine Ogor said: “The self -acclaimed Reverend uses preaching, choirs and organised youth fellowship to get young girls.
“That was what he did in Ute-Okpu, Otolokpo neighbouring communities before he moved into Umunede and he was driven away by the elders of the communities, he likes girls of 15, 16 and 17 years he sleeps with.”
Other church members, Awele John, Marble Ogoan and Rosemary Iwendi also claim he used charms and magical powers to control them into having sexual relations with him, the married victim said she had only gone to him for marital advice.
They said: “The man is fake, he uses magical powers to woo young girls he sleeps with, that was how we fell into his net, and our eyes were opened.
“I saw myself having sexual intercourse with the Reverend in my sleep and I was shocked before I made it known to my husband”
On his part, the self-proclaimed pastor who is currently being investigated by the Agbor police Division, denied being responsible for the pregnancies as alleged.
He said: “I am not responsible for their pregnancies, they are lairs.”
Speaking under the condition of anonymity, some officers among the investigation team said: “We are currently investigating the Reverend after some parents of the girls he allegedly seduced reported the matter at the station, we have earlier arrested and released him on bail while investigation is ongoing.”
