Police Arrest 8 Kidnappers, Rescue 4 Victims In Kano

Police in Kano has arrested eight suspected kidnappers and rescued four victims in its clearance operations carried out within one month across the state.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the Command’s Spokesman, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa.

He said the arrest is based on credible information received that, some notorious Armed Robbers/Kidnappers are terrorizing Tudun Wada LGA, Doguwa LGA along Falgore forest axis, and some parts of neighbouring States.

Kiyawa said on receiving the reports, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko raised and instructed a team of Operation Puff Adder to arrest the perpetrators.

He explained that the team swiftly swung into action and arrested Eight (8) Notorious Kidnappers and rescued four victims.

Kiyawa said the suspects confessed to having been into the crime for over five (5) years and operating in Kano, Jigawa, Bauchi, and Kaduna States.

He said the case is under investigation and will be charged to court.

The Command, however, urged residents to continue to pray for the State, the Nation and to report incidences to the nearest Police Station and not to take laws into their hands.
