Must read

A team of police officers have been despatched to the national headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and cordoned off the premises.

According to an eyewitness who spoke to The Trent and provided photos of police teams at the office of the main opposition party in Nigeria, the team of policemen arrived at Wadata House at about 3.45pm on Sunday, May 22, 2016 and proceeded to seal off the premises.

One of the officers who spoke anonymously to our eye-witness, who didn’t wish to be named, said they were there to “prevent the breakdown of law and order”.

Saturday, May 21 was an eventful day for the PDP as the national chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sherrif, along with the national working committee of the party, was sacked at the party’s national convention which held in Port Harcourt.

This is a developing story. We will bring you details as they come in.
