Must read

Former Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti is set to take over from Pep Guardiola at the Allianz Arena in the summer.

Bayern Munich announced Ancelotti as their next manager in December 2015 after it became clear that Guardiola will be leaving Allianz Arena at the end of the current season.

It has now been revealed that the Italian manager rejected an approach from Manchester United before agreeing to join Bayern Munich.

According to the Daily Mail, the 56-year-old rejected advances from Manchester United executive vice chairman, Ed Woodward as a replacement for Louis Van Gaal next summer. The approach by Ed Woodward is said to have come at a time when Ancelotti was already in advanced talks with Bayern Munich.

Ancelotti has been available since May 2015 when he was sacked by Real Madrid.
