The 41-year old junior Uwais, who has two wives and four children was said to have called both wives aside and told them him plans to join ISIS, advising them to return to to their parents house, a request both women jointly refused, volunteering to join him in his quest.

The airline and date of his departure could not be made pubic, although the Turkish embassy in Abuja said that the suspect had visited the premises in embassy in company of his family.

The university drop out was said to be the least expected to join a terror group as he was a vocal critic of Boko Haram, although his family have not given up hope of getting him to return home.
