Super Eagles Coach, Sunday Oliseh, was an august visitor at the Nigeria Stock Exchange on Monday, August 17, 2015 where he was accorded the honour of ringing the closing bell for the day’s business at the capital market.

Oliseh, in company of the Nigeria Football Federation president, Amaju Pinnick, and other top ranking Nigerian football officials, held talks with the Nigeria Stock Exchange leadership on how to make Nigeria football attractive to Corporate Nigeria.

The Super Eagles Coach promised to do his best to make Nigeria’s national men teams, which arguably is the face of football in Nigeria, as attractive as possible in order to attract the right patronage from across board.

On his part, the NFF President, Mr. Pinnick described Monday’s visit as the beginning of what would turn out to be a wonderful relationship between Corporate Nigeria and Nigeria football.

He said one of the goals of his administration will be to see Nigerian clubs being listed on the floor of the Nigerian stock exchange.

“We are looking at taking this to a level where even clubs in the Nigeria League will be quoted on the Nigeria Stock Exchange. It is a gradual process but we will get there.

Monday’s outing was the first time in history that the Nigeria Stock Exchange would offer a Nigeria football figure the gesture of ringing the closing the bell at the floor.

Even though the victorious Golden Eaglets of 1985, who won the U16 World Cup in China, visited the stock exchange, they did not ring the bell.
