We are not completely Christ-like until we make preaching the gospel a habit, because that’s what He spent most of His time on earth doing.
It’s the duty of every believer to preach the gospel. What does it mean to preach the gospel? It simply means to tell others about Jesus and the love of God for us: in other words, telling them what God has done to save us (sending Jesus to die for our sins), how to be saved, the consequences of remaining in sin and rejecting God’s offer of salvation.
We have what can change the world and the lives of people around us. The gospel we have can change hardened criminals; it can change drug addicts, prostitutes, corrupt officials, kidnappers and cultists. The gospel can also improve the living conditions of men; it can heal the sick, and give men good health. The gospel that we have is God’s power of salvation! That’s why we cannot keep it to ourselves: we must tell everyone who hasn’t heard, and we must tell it again and again by the power of the Holy Spirit to those who have heard, until it produces results in the hearts of our hearers. We must preach the gospel, everyone of us.
