There are devourers in life: why is it that your entire salary finishes just four days after you are paid and you cannot tell what meaningful thing you used it for; why is that you always receive terrible news from home that prevents you from achieving anything meaningful; why must something always go wrong? Those are devourers at work and you’ve got to rebuke them if you want to see changes in your life.
The devil is the ultimate destroyer. Jesus said that he is a thief who comes to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. His aim is to steal your peace, your health, your joy, your business, your job, your money, and even your life! God forbid it! I forbid it too in the name of Jesus!
You’ve got to learn to rebuke the devourers in your life. James 4:7 says to resist the devil and that he will flee from you. You’ve got to say, “Satan, enough is enough, take your filthy stinking hands off all that concerns me, in the name of Jesus!” “Satan, I forbid you from doing anything in my home, in my family, in my job, in my business, in my ministry, in my environment, in the name of Jesus!”
