Genesis 1:27 says that God created us in His own image. A lot of us haven’t really understood it. What exactly is the “image of God”? It’s simple if you ask me: the image of God refers to His glory!
When God created Adam and Eve, they were clothed with the glory of God. That’s why Adam and Eve did not realize that they were naked until they sinned. Sin made the glory to depart from man. Romans 3:23 says it clearly, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” And when the glory left, man became ordinary.
But now, in Christ, the glory has been restored! Hallelujah! And it keeps increasing as we continue to have fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Glory to God!
